Mr. R Chamanara

Dear parents/guardians,

I would like to welcome your child to my class for the 2014' - 2015' school year. This year, I will be teaching Math 7/ Accelerated Algebra / Accelerated Geometry . I look forward to helping your child achieve all their academic goals, in addition to meeting the common core standards required by the state of California.

Below you can find a downloadable form of the syllabus for each class. Please take the time to read all the course requirements. It is crucial that your child understands these rules, as they can have serious implications on their overall grades.

*The Accelerated classes are for motivated students that want to excel in their subject matter.  Students that are having difficulty in their class should come in for help, to meet the standards being covered.  Students that cannot keep up with these standards risk being taken out of the class.  In addition, the Accelerated classes require a high standard of maturity.  Students that do not meet these standards also risk being taken out of the class.

My contact information can be found below.  The best way to contact me would be by e-mail, as I can promptly respond to your concerns.  For detailed information regarding each class, please refer to the syllabus.

************************************GRADING INFORMATION*******************************************

Please be advised that grades are given at the 5, 10, 15, & 20 week marks. Unfortunately, MISIS grading system is NOT an "up to the minute" grading service.  Students that are absent will have to wait for grades to be inputted as they are turned in.  Their grades can not be inputted instantly.  If there are questions regarding your grade on MISIS grading system, please have your child ask in class.
